The criteria for an ideal wedding venue are quickly changing. Choosing the wedding venue that is the perfect fit for you (and your budget!) may take a little time and research.

Consider the season and what type of space you are looking for. In warm months you may want to find a space that as ample outdoor locations for photos. Do you want your reception to be outdoors or indoors? Ballroom or garden? Think about what kind of logistics you want as far as entrance and space.

Next, make sure you base your decisions off of the size of your guest list and budget. These are two key factors when choosing your perfect venue. Find out what is included in the package such as food and alcohol to determine how much of your budget you can spend. Make sure your maximum guest list can fit at the venue before making any decisions.

Ask about accommodations. If you are getting ready there, you want to make sure you see the bridal suite and any space you will have to spend time in. Will they let you come in early? Will you have refreshments? Are you looking for a venue that provides lodging so your guests don’t have to travel far, or can they stay nearby? Is there a location nearby for an afterparty?
