Her deep-rooted involvement in her church and community reflects her passion for service and her commitment to making meaningful connections.
Guided by strong values, family traditions, and a distinct creative style, Sherrissa brings a personal touch to every event she plans. Her dedication to detail and heartfelt approach ensure that each celebration feels intimate, elegant, and unforgettable.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Sherrissa is a true Southern girl with a heart for hospitality and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Her love for design was inspired at an early age by watching her mother and aunts transform spaces with elegance and creativity. Over the years, she discovered not only a passion for planning and décor but also a natural talent for bringing visions to life. With a strong foundation in business and psychology, Sherrissa earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Psychology, and an MBA from Ashford University. She further honed her expertise by becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner (CWEP) through the U.S. Career Institute. Armed with knowledge, experience, and an innate creative touch, she launched Destiny Events in 2017 turning her lifelong passion into a thriving business.
Sherrissa believes that every couple deserves a wedding that reflects their unique love story. Her dedication to detail, seamless planning process, and commitment to excellence have made Destiny Events a trusted name in the wedding industry.
