Having help on your wedding day will eliminate stress and make sure everything goes smoothly. It is important to have someone assisting vendors, keeping track of the timeline, and guiding guests when necessary to stay on track. What’s the difference between a wedding planner and a venue coordinator?
A wedding planner is involved in the planning process months in advance and can be as involved as you need them to be. The first meeting consists of budget, vendor referrals, and discussing the overall theme and vision. A wedding planner will be the point person for your vendor, create your timeline, and coordinate the day of.
A venue coordination is your point person at the venue but is not involved with the planning process. You may meet to discuss drinks, food options, and décor that is offered through the venue, but they will not make a timeline or reach out to your vendors prior. A venue coordinator will help direct guests and vendors the day of and work with your wedding planner if you have hired one.
