Having a solid crew for your wedding party and family that will help you out along the way is huge! While planning a wedding, it’s important to delegate some tasks to help alleviate the work. What duties are still traditionally given to the wedding party and family leading up to your wedding?
Showers, Bachelorette, and Rehearsal
The three major events leading up to your big day should be planned by friends and family to give you a break from planning and allow you to enjoy the bride-to-be life! Your bridal shower typically should be handled by family working with one or two of your bridesmaids to coordinate guest list and games. Your bachelorette is usually planned by your maid of honor but can be a team effort of all your bridesmaids if there are several plans to the weekend. The rehearsal is typically up to the parents of the bride and groom.
Day-Of Delegations
Make sure you have a point person in your wedding party from both the groom and bride’s side to communicate with the wedding planner or venue coordinator during the day. Your maid of honor should be on point to fluff your dress, check your makeup, or hold your bouquet during certain times of the ceremony and reception. It can also be a good idea to have a family member on duty to run interference if there are any other family conflicts.
Asking your wedding party and family to help plan smaller events and be available for certain tasks on the day-of can help alleviate major stress!
